Study.com ranks HR program at Southern Wesleyan University No. 7
In its 2020 rankings for the best human resources degree programs in the country, Southern Wesleyan University’s program gained a number seven ranking.
Study.com evaluated hundreds of institutions and selected Southern Wesleyan based on factors that included academic and career resources for human resources students, the quality of education and program accessibility. Its graduate human resources degrees are geared toward fully preparing students for the Professional in Human Resources exam through the Human Resources Certification Institute. Also noted were Southern Wesleyan’s high graduation rate, reasonable tuition and the quality of its career placement services.
According to Dr. Priscilla Hammond, assistant director of graduate studies at Southern Wesleyan’s Benson School of Business, the HR concentration courses were designed specifically for the online student who wants to better understand the role of human resources in their organization.
“Because of our small classes, professors get to know their students and can help them answer questions about HR in their workplace as well as give advice on career decisions,” Hammond said. “The MBA or MS in Management and Leadership with an HR concentration gives students the same opportunity I was given years ago: to study human resource management from scholar practitioners who want them to fall in love with the field, too.”
Southern Wesleyan offers human resources concentrations in its B.S. in business administration and online MBA programs.
