Warriors continue historic season in road to Spartanburg

Southern Wesleyan defeated the Lees-McRae Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas quarterfinals match-up in an 85-81 final on Tuesday evening. The Warriors will now advance to semifinals for the first time in school history.

The Warriors shot 46.4% in the win as Clenzo Ross led the team with 22 points. Ta'Jay Dunlap followed with 19 points and Solomon Smith added 18 points. Southern Wesleyan handed out 13 assists with Dunlap having four and TJ Harvin adding three. Cameron Holmes posted three steals for the Warriors and Smith, Holmes, and Hunter Davis each had blocks. As a team, 40 rebounds were collected as Smith and Dunlap each had nine to lead the team.

Southern Wesleyan will take on the King Tornado in the Conference Carolinas semifinals on March 7 at 5:30 p.m. The game will be played in the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium at Wofford College.

Tickets for each day are just $10 for adults. In addition, children 12-and-under are completely FREE. Seniors 60 and over and military will be able to attend for just $5, while faculty and staff of Conference Carolinas member institutions will be admitted for just $5. Students from Conference Carolinas institutions will be allowed to enter all games FREE with valid identification.
A VIP All-Tournament pass is being sold for $30. The special VIP All-Tournament pass allows those that purchase to sit courtside and have access to the hospitality areas at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The VIP All-Tournament passes are limited, so make sure to get your spot early.
A General Admission All-Tournament pass will also be sold for just $15.
