Take a step
Adam Jones shared his experiences from living overseas and of how God “rocked his world,” revealing how he guided his steps to become involved in international work during a missions conference March 6 through 8 at Southern Wesleyan University.
Jones, a 2003 Southern Wesleyan graduate, addressed the conference. Other Southern Wesleyan graduates who are currently serving in the field spoke about their experiences via phone hookup.
Jones, who along with his wife Krista, serve with Global Partners, said “When you take a step, you get to see the impossible happen; When you take a step, you are a part of God’s larger story.” According to Rev. Dave Tolan, the university’s missions mobilizer, approximately 40 Southern Wesleyan graduates serve around the world as missionaries, adding that most of them “took their first step” toward missions while attending Southern Wesleyan. Tolan added that many students made a commitment to some form of missions work at the conclusion of the conference.
