SWU names Rash Student Teacher of the Year
The award is based on a demonstrated Christian ethic of care, scholarship and performance in student teaching. Rash is an Elementary Education major who currently carries a 3.91 GPA. According to Dr. Paul Shotsberger, dean of the School of Education, Rash “thoroughly impressed her supervisors and her cooperating teacher with her competence, confidence, and compassion.”
Rash is the daughter of SWU graduate Lt. Col. Michael Rash, Wing Chaplain of Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nev., and his wife Kathy. She has been accepted into the Master of Science program in Speech-Language Pathology at Appalachian State University and will begin her studies there this fall.
