Southern Wesleyan is ‘home’ for international teams

“Home away from home” for Big League World Series teams is Southern Wesleyan University, housing baseball players from across the nation and around the world.
For the tenth year, Southern Wesleyan’s campus in Central, S.C., serves as the athlete’s village, welcoming more than 200 players in 11 teams as they compete in the series, held at nearby J.B. “Red” Owens Sports Complex in Easley. Pictured are members of the Europe Middle East Africa team heading from one of Southern Wesleyan’s dormitories to the university’s practice field before their first game. The Big League World Series takes place through Aug. 4.
