Saying ‘thank you’ to legislators

Jan 26, 2017 | Community | Advancement

Southern Wesleyan University student Sarah Cash writes her legislator to thank them for supporting South Carolina Tuition Grants awarded to students attending an independent college. Cash is a junior from Landrum majoring in Elementary Education. She is one of 380 Southern Wesleyan students who wrote to their lawmakers.

Each year, prior to Independent Colleges and Universities Day at the State House, Tuition Grant recipients from South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) member institutions write individual “thank you” letters to their resident House and Senate members.

Southern Wesleyan University is a Christ-centered, student-focused learning community devoted to transforming lives by challenging students to be dedicated scholars and servant-leaders who impact the world for Christ. For details about degree programs, go online to swu.edu.
