Sally Wood, left, assistant professor of English at Southern Wesleyan University, was named Faculty Member of the Year and Dr. Chuck Mealy, the university’s director of conference and housing services, was named Staff Member of the Year.
Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty and staff selected the best of the best to receive awards at a recent convocation service. Wood also received the Ken Dickens Award for Excellence in Teaching. Nominations for Wood’s honor are submitted by students, faculty and staff, then selected by a committee. Mealy was selected as Staff Member of the Year by the university’s students.
