Longtime Southern Wesleyan University staff members honored
Southern Wesleyan University honored three retiring staff members and their many years of service May 7 at the Central Campus. Rev. Joy Bryant, Deanna Tegen, and Dr. Joe Brockinton were recognized for their devotion and service to SWU. Bryant has served more than 21 years and is executive director for alumni and constituent relations. Tegen has served in the SWU business office for 28 years, and is accounting director. Brockinton has served SWU 13 years as Vice President for student life.
Rev. Ken Dill, university chaplain, spoke about Bryant's dedication to the university, including students and alumni; while Devon Broome, associate vice president for finance, spoke about his years of working with Tegen and expressed appreciation for her years of service to the university’s business office. Bryant and Tegen were also presented with captain’s chairs, which are awarded employees who served more than 21 years. Dr. Todd Voss, SWU President, spoke about Brockinton's many years of dedication to students and the SWU community.
