Earn a bachelor’s degree in three years
While it’s true that college may be one of the biggest expenses an individual will encounter, it can also be one of the best investments.
Southern Wesleyan University offers alternative pathways to a college degree for students wanting to graduate in under four years, leading to lower tuition costs and reduced room and board costs for resident students.
One pathway is through advanced placement credit resulting from successful scores on Advanced Placement (AP) exams or other credit by examination, such as College Learning Examination Programs (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST).
Also, credit earned from dual enrollment courses taken from regionally accredited colleges or universities can be accepted, provided the course(s) meet degree requirements at Southern Wesleyan and grades are not lower than C-.
Summer courses can be taken online from Southern Wesleyan and completed in seven weeks. This approach offers flexibility to earn credits during summer without having to be on campus.
A full-time student at Southern Wesleyan can take 12-18 credit hours in a semester while taking advantage of a block tuition rate. In other words, the tuition is the same, whether a student takes 12 hours or 18 hours. A course load of more than 18 hours requires permission of a faculty advisor and the appropriate academic dean, and is subject to an overload tuition rate, which is added to the block tuition rate.
