Dr. Street Named Dean of Online Learning and Education at Southern Wesleyan University

CENTRAL, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan University (SWU) is pleased to announce that Dr. Nathan Street has been named Dean of Online Learning and Education, overseeing SWU’s graduate and online programs under the newly branded SWU Global initiative.
In this role, Dr. Street will serve as the strategic and academic leader for SWU Global, ensuring the quality and mission alignment of all online undergraduate and graduate programs, including dual enrollment opportunities for high school students. He will also collaborate with the Vice Provost of Academic Initiatives to develop innovative programs that expand and strengthen SWU’s online and graduate offerings.
Dr. Street has served as Chair of the School of Education and Music since July 2024, where he has managed undergraduate and graduate programs while coordinating dual enrollment initiatives. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Professor of Graduate Education, mentoring Ed.D. students, serving on dissertation committees, and teaching educational leadership courses.
A leader in higher education, Dr. Street was selected for the Fulbright Specialist Program through the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and World Learning. As a Fulbright Specialist, he is eligible for international projects in over 150 countries, further demonstrating his commitment to global education and leadership.
