Dr. Spittal honored at Easley Chamber Gala
Easley Chamber Director Kent Dykes said the community has benefitted from Dr. Spittal's involvement.
"The university's campus in Central is a testimony to his leadership, with new structures, expanded property and space for more students. Dr. Spittal has strengthened the university's relationship with the community by prioritizing buildings like the University Dining Commons and Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center -- welcoming community groups to use these buildings," Dykes said.
He applauded Dr. Spittal's 17 years as president of the university, noting that he also served as co-chair of the Pickens County Vision 2025 committee.
