Carter named AVP at SWU
Carter previously served as the senior associate director of community and ethical standards at Clemson University. Prior to coming to Clemson in 2005, he served at Walsh University (Ohio) for three years. In addition to his work in judicial affairs at Clemson, he has experience in residence life and multicultural affairs. His primary responsibilities at SWU will be to direct new student orientation and to develop a comprehensive leadership development program for students. Carter received his B.A. in English literature from the University of Akron, his M.A. in education from University of Phoenix, and his Ph.D. in leadership in higher education from Capella University. Carter began his duties Nov. 14.
