A Godly legacy
Carlton spoke Oct. 22 to a chapel service attended also by members of the university's board of trustees and board of visitors. Carlton, who has been involved regionally and nationally in educational issues, has served throughout her career as an advocate for children and youth. She has served as a teacher, a high school principal and a school superintendent. Carlton holds degrees from United Wesleyan College, Greenville College, Virginia Commonwealth University and Southeastern University. Carlton serves as a member of the district board of administration and the district board of ministerial development for The Wesleyan Church.
