Business Administration (BS)
Make a difference in the marketplace.
At SWU, our business administration degree helps graduates become effective, capable employees or business owners who recognize their greater purpose in life. Our core courses and concentrations will equip you with essential skills while also focusing on the role of Christian ethics in business.
You’ll get hands-on experience with case studies and simulations in your classes, alongside real-world internship and work opportunities. Whether you plan to start a business or work in a larger organization, our caring faculty will help you uncover and pursue your calling.
Businesses aren’t just important to the economy—they’re also tools for achieving Christ’s mission. How will you lead and serve through a business administration degree?
Concentrations
The Economics and Finance concentration will prepare you to work in a finance department or another quantitative business area. You’ll engage with advanced subjects in both economics and finance so that you will better understand the numerical aspect of businesses.
This concentration is available to on-campus students; most courses are online.
The Entrepreneurship concentration will prepare you to open and run your own business—or use entrepreneurial skills within an existing company. Christians are called to address the world’s needs, and entrepreneurship is one way to answer that call.
Online students can take the entrepreneurship concentration but must attend one or more courses on-campus during the day.
The General Business concentration introduces additional coursework that you can customize to fit your needs and career goals.
The Human Resources Management concentration will prepare you to work in a business’s human resources division. The concentration is aligned with the SHRM Certified Professional credential and will prepare you to pass the certification exam.
This concentration is available to on-campus students; most courses are online.
The Management concentration will prepare you to serve in a managerial role. This path covers topics relevant to future managers, including human resources, project management, and international concerns.
