Parent Information Regarding College Accommodations
There are some significant differences between the ways accommodations and support services are handled at the high school and college levels. It is therefore important for parents and students to familiarize themselves with SWU's policies and procedures, including the following:
- Students need to take responsibility for their own accommodations and educational support.
- Privacy statement: Your student’s medical documentation will not be shared with anyone outside of the SSC. Only your student’s accommodations information will be shared. Please refer to the accommodation request form on the main page.
- It is best to encourage your students to advocate for themselves. Students are advised to come to the SSC whenever they need assistance to ensure their accommodations are met. SSC staff members strive to provide exceptional support in an encouraging environment to help all students flourish.
