The tournament is named for Dr. Paul Wood, a psychologist and professor emeritus at Southern Wesleyan University.
First Citizens Bank was the tournament title sponsor. Corporate sponsors were The Parkette of Pickens and Aramark. Ram Technologies and Palmetto Insurance were the co-sponsors and Piedmont Landscaping and Maintenance was the Hole in One Insurance provider.
