Ushering in the holy season at SWU’s Newton Hobson Chapel

For the first time, Southern Wesleyan University held its service of lessons and carols at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center. Pictured above, Dr. Don Campbell leads the singing of a Christmas carol also being performed by the university’s concert choir.  Dr. Greg Day directs the instrumental ensemble as they provide accompaniment. Members of the Southern Wesleyan University Jazz Ensemble kick off a musical Christmas celebration on an upbeat note. Pictured, above left, is Sanchez Fair on the piano; and at right are Chris Mills and Curtis Baker on guitar and Jhon Camacho at the drums. The Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble combined talents for an entertaining evening of holiday favorites and new works Dec. 1 at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the university’s campus in Central.
