FINANCIAL AID COUNSELOR - Traditional Program
Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of financial aid for eligible students, including but not limited to processing awards, file management, customer service, and liaison work with accounting and other pertinent offices.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Must have general knowledge of accounting practices/principles gained through prior work experience (one or two year minimum) or education. General knowledge of higher education requirements and affiliated agencies is preferred. Computer proficiency and operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Accuracy and attention to detail with excellent organizational skills are essential, as is ability to meet deadlines. Candidate must possess a positive, self-motivated, professional attitude interacting with students, staff and others.
