REGIONAL DIRECTOR – Central and Charleston, SC

Southern Wesleyan University is accepting applications for Regional Director positions to be based at the University’s learning centers in Central and Charleston. Reporting to the Associate Vice President-AGS Programs, the Regional Director is responsible for the development of strategic partnerships with area corporations, school districts and other organizations whose employees or members might benefit from the Southern Wesleyan University’s graduate, undergraduate and certificate degree programs. The Regional Director will serve as the primary contact for the development of new business opportunities related to current SWU programs but will also be instrumental in the recommendation of new degrees, majors, certificates and other training programs that might be developed to serve the local market. Selected candidate will also have some teaching responsibilities for graduate-level courses.

Responsibilities

    The Regional Director will be responsible for identifying key partnership opportunities that lead to the enrollment of new students. In consultation with university administration, will negotiate and finalize appropriate MOU’s. Responsible for achieving prospective student inquiry goals for the adult and graduate studies program. Identifies and generates external recruitment initiatives including but not limited to: information sessions; education fairs; conferences; open houses and other special events. Works with local Program Representatives and other university personnel to maximize enrollment. Fulfills teaching requirements as assigned.

Requirements

    A terminal degree in the field of education, educational administration or related field is required; with previous teaching experience in field of study. Candidate should have previous experience in new business development, education, customer service, communications, and sales or recruitment, and is a resourceful and capable business manager. Seeking an excellent communicator via phone, email and personal presentations including group sessions; results-oriented individual able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. Thorough understanding of academic programs offered in the fields of education and business. Must have the ability to develop effective working relationships with all related university departments. Experience and or knowledgeable of higher education marketing is a must. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office; able to extract necessary data from database and generate reports; comfortable with learning new software programs. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, entrepreneurial and creative, self-managing, and able to meet stringent deadlines while managing multiple projects. Individual should also possess the communication and relational abilities required to succeed within a team environment.

This is a 12-month, permanent, full-time, salaried, exempt position with non-tenured faculty status. Salary Level X: $50,000 plus benefits.
