Mission Trip? Czech.

Snowed in for 24 hours at the Frankfurt airport. No luggage for half the trip.
But what Amanda Link remembers about her mission trip to the Czech Republic are the bonds she formed with fellow SWU students and the opportunity to share the love of God. "The Lord showed me that my knowledge of the English language and my degree in teaching English is a valuable commodity for today's mission field. Participating in the SWU missions program has permanently changed my worldview!"

Following Him to Where She Was Already

When Amanda entered SWU in fall 2004, she was planning to be a high school English teacher. Now, as she prepares to graduate, she's planning to be a high school English teacher. And what a journey it's been. "I realize that, through every doubt about my career goals, God was leading me and using people in my life at SWU to shape me into the kind of influence and witness I am when I enter the public school classroom. He has given me direction and helped me recognize His plan for my life."

Loving Something More than English Class

"I loved my English language and literature courses in college, but I'm now finding that I love being with students even more than I love English (which I thought was impossible). I am, on a daily basis, showing students that I truly care about them and that I want them to have a successful future. What higher calling could God have placed on my life?!"
