It’s more than an education – it’s about treating people right.
“I found Southern Wesleyan University by doing some basic Internet research and found a program that would fit my needs. My undergrad work was in special education and I figured I needed to do something that would give me a different perspective when I walk through the classroom.
It seems as if it was yesterday that I was sitting in a classroom talking to the coordinator about starting a program, getting the basic information. Here I am and my program’s complete.
The programs here are tailored to your needs, but it’s about more than just academics. Basically going back to each course, it came back to people treating people right. We went through the mechanics and logistics of the courses and theories, but it always came back to good people practices and good business practices - and that’s simply doing the right thing.”
Moving past trials and turmoil.
A few years ago, Clifford was diagnosed with kidney disease, but his wife Rosa donated one of her kidneys – an event that had a major impact on his life. But despite times of turmoil in his life, he continues to perform because “the show must go on.”
“I wake up thanking God for another opportunity to realize what’s truly important,” Clifford said.
As an educator, he has a love for learning and wants to enter a doctoral program in education. He hopes to share his passion for pursuing a healthy lifestyle and encourage greater parental involvement with their children.
